The
Mills Innwas established in 1755 by James Colthurst as stop-off stagecoach travellers, and was originally part of the Colthurst estate, of which Blarney estate is still included. In the 1920ts the Ballyvourney residence came into private ownership and a bar, shop, and Mill were opened. The
Mills Inn has been operating as a
bar restaraunt and
hotel since that time. When Don O'Leary and Gobnait Quill O'Leary took over the premises in 2002 their totally refurbished the building making comfort a priority but the traditional atmosphere has not been lost.
