Concert in Aid of Cork Simon Community at The Mills Inn Hotel
Monday, December 08, 2014

On Sunday 21st December from 9 pm, a host of the finest Muskerry musicians will gather together to perform an incredibly special concert to raise much needed funds for the Simon Community.

This worthy event will take place in the Museum Bar in The Mills inn Hotel. All our team in The Mills are  immensely proud to play a small part in helping making this night of music happen. The tireless work the Simon Community does on a daily basis is nothing less than extraordinary. Those wonderful people involved are passionate and do all they can to help those people in need. This night will be special. The Museum will be filled with beautiful music and everyone there will be joined by a common cause to try and make a little positive difference. We hope to see many of you there to enjoy the music and help this amazing charity.

For many years this charity group, much beloved of Cork people has been supporting, caring and helping to accommodate the homeless. With homelessness dramatically on the rise at an alarming rate, the Cork Simon Community needs our support now more than ever.

This talented local group of singers and musicians are getting together to put on a fun-filled night of music and song and the line-up is indeed impressive. Performing live at The Mills will be Oireachtas winner Nell Ní Chroinin, Greenshine featuring Noel Shine, Mary Greene & Ellie Shine, Conal O'Grada & Richard Lucey, Ellie & Eimear and The Thirsty Scholars who will round off the evening in robust and rollicking fashion.

As if this sensational line-up was not enough we can guarantee there will be some surprise guests through the night. Who knows who might drop in and join in the festivities and musical delight. One thing is for certain. It is most definitely not a night to be missed.

Lets all get in to that Christmas spirit of kindness, compassion and giving and do our bit for the Simon Community while having a great night in the process at The Mills.

Donations large and small will be very gratefully accepted on the night and if you can't make the concert you cans till show your support by going to the Simon Community website where you can read the life stories of some of the people they have helped and donate what you can. No matter how small a donation, it would mean the world of difference and will help to change someones life for the better.

See you all Sunday 21st December to help make Cork cosy this Christmas and beyond.
